What is a Temporary?
When we receive a call from a client company with an extra project, someone out sick, or in between employees, we obtain information on the job duties this person will need to perform, when they need to start, approximately how long the job assignment will be, etc.
If the client company has a permanent position available, after a minimum of 560 hours (twelve 40-hour weeks), the client company may offer you a permanent position, however, they are under no obligation to make an offer nor is there an obligation for you to accept an offer.

What is Temp-to-Perm?
The difference in this type of position compared to a temporary position is that you will have an interview with the client company. This means that if you are currently employed and are looking for a change, you would be a candidate for a temp-to-perm position. This is comparable to a company hiring you with a three month "probation" period. Should the client company offer your the position, and you accept, you will remain on our payroll for 400 hours (ten 40-hour weeks) prior to being placed on the client company's payroll. If, during that time, you decide the position isn't for you, we offer the client company a one-time replacement.

What is Direct Hire?
The Direct Hire is similar to the Temp-to-Perm except a percentage of your annual salary is the fee charged by Merritt Personnel to the client company.
